Saving Ambrosia: A Pawsome Project for Animal Welfare League

We have recently been involved in a costly but crucial project to provide urgent medical care for a foster kitty named Ambrosia. This beautiful young female needed surgery to remove a polyp that had spread from her ear to her throat, partially blocking her airway.

Sweet girl made it through her surgery on February 12th like the tough kitty she is. She is now recovering at home, eating soft food, and drinking water with pain medication for comfort.

Her veterinary team successfully removed a large polyp that started behind her eardrum, but had grown through the Eustachian tube (auditory tube) and into the back of her throat. She was also spayed at the same time to reduce the risk of more anesthesia. We are very grateful to everyone who donated to her procedure and contributed to improving her quality of life. She is already experiencing this with her ability to BREATHE normally!

We are very grateful to Dr. Palmer at Palmer Animal Hospital in Myersville for accommodating her on such short notice.
