Kona

Kona's story...

We went to Pet Smart because we decided we wanted to get fish. We figured they were simple, so why not. When we got there I saw tons of kittens up for adoption. My husband was not a cat person, but he humored me and walked over to them. I looked in several cages and all of a sudden a kitten caught my eye. She was all the way in the back of the cage cuddled into her sister sleeping. I could barely see her, but noticed she was black and white. I had always wanted a black and white cat. I asked if she could be taken out. When I saw her adorable little face and big ears I fell in love with her instantly. However, I did walk away because we were not looking for a kitten. We went to lunch and I could not stop thinking about her. I had to go back and see her. I got the contact information of her foster mom, Donna, and decided to try to convince my husband. Long story short, we set up a meeting time for my husband to see if he like her and he fell in love immediately also! We adopted Kona (whose name when we adopted her was Suni), and we have fallen more and more in love with her every day! She is now one year old and has endured us getting a puppy, she has taken it in stride and wants so badly for the puppy to be her friend (she is too energetic and wild for Kona right now!). Kona was raised around several dogs while in foster care, so I think she is used to them! Kona still taunts Charlie though! She has an amazing personality and is truly a princess. We are so happy we walked into Pet Smart that day!
